My Experience with PEMF Therapy
I have had a bad sciatic nerve in my left hip for about five weeks. Three weeks ago, I could only walk with a cane and couldn’t put pressure on my left leg because it was so painful.
My RMT couldn’t see me until late November, but she mentioned that someone offering Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) would be using her office and suggested I give her a call.
At my first appointment, I received several 5-minute treatments. The shock-like pain that had been going up the right side of my neck to my head disappeared, and my hamstring pain was gone. Both have remained gone. My sciatic nerve pain improved by about 20–30%, and I no longer needed my cane.
At my second appointment, after treatments focused on my sciatic nerve and a full electromagnetic mat treatment, I walked to my car. I have now been free of sciatic nerve pain for eight days, and the hamstring and shoulder pain are still gone.
Another incredible change was my sleep. I usually sleep only 4–5 hours a night and nap during the day. After my first full mat treatment, I slept for 13 hours!
I have also struggled for about five years, since I contracted COVID, with a weak voice, being unable to sing or whistle like I used to, and having very poor balance. After my latest treatments, while walking back to my truck, I was whistling and singing, and I felt I had about 70% of my balance back. I feel awesome!
I have also struggled with severe constipation for approximately 16 years and usually need laxatives and suppositories. After my latest treatment, I came into the house with my stomach gurgling and had to go to the washroom without either.
I am absolutely thrilled. I feel like I’m back to being the guy I remember, just a few years older. A new lease on life, ready to truck onward, but at a more relaxed pace.
One of my favourite moments was when I came to my last appointment through the front door instead of the back. Front door has maybe 20-24 stairs where the back has 5 stairs. Charmayne was looking for me at the back door, then saw me downstairs at the front. She asked, “What are you doing down here?” With a big grin, I hugged her and said, “I can now walk up these stairs.”
I would recommend looking into PEMF therapy to anyone dealing with pain issues. I understand it is also used for arthritis, knee pain, shoulder pain and inflammation.
